Stereo ISO lead 2nd gen

  • We offer a range of leads for changing the stereo in the 2nd gen MINI
    It should be noted that the 'permanent live' at the factory stereo isn't permanent, as it goes dead a few hours after the car is turned off. So all of our leads have a long permanent wire which needs to be connected to a permanent live in the kickwell fusebox or battery.
    Also the warning tones (lights on, door open etc) in the MINI are produced by the stereo, along with reverse sensor tones, if you wish to retain these please order a lead that states these are retained.
    Finally if the car ever requires a new ecu coding at the dealers, if the factory stereo is missing they will say they can't proceed. To save stripping your new stereo out again we offer an optional extra on our leads, this is a extension cable & quadlock plug that can be hidden behind the glovebox. If the car was going in to the dealers you simply plug the factory stereo in & leave it on the passenger floor until the dealer is finished, no need to remove your new stereo, this is our service mode option.

    BASIC: Quadlock to ISO lead. This lead will switch the stereo on when the IGNITION is turned on, not when the key is inserted. No warning tones.
    BASIC WITH TONES: As above but with a small speaker to mount under the dash that will give the warning tones & park sensor noise if fitted.
    STANDARD: Quadlock to ISO lead. This lead will switch the stereo on when the key is inserted. No warning tones.
    STANDARD WITH TONES: As above but with a small speaker to mount under the dash that will give the warning tones & park sensor noise if fitted.
    MFSW: Quadlock to ISO lead with steering wheel button support. This lead will switch the stereo on when the key is inserted & with steering wheel ready stereos will allow you to use your steering wheel controls with your new stereo. No warning tones
    MFSW WITH TONES: As above but with a small speaker to mount under the dash that will give the warning tones & park sensor noise if fitted.
